ahhhh the uk modding scene.
street racing doesnt happen as far as i'm aware, at least not fast and the furious style, you do get people racing, but not organised underground events, unless they're so underground i've not heard of them!!
the occasional legal cruise does happen, and they can be very big, just doesnt have the usual fun like burnouts, handbrake turns etc.
there are loads of illegal cruises though,
http://www.strathycruise.com being the biggest i know of in scotland. theres a huge area of tarmac there known as the skid pan (for obvious reasons), and also as the jesus car park (because huge boulders have to be rolled away to gain access!).
there are always track days at the likes of knockhill and a place called crail raceway holds 1/4 mile days along with shows, a drifting oval etc, the last pic of my car i posted was at crail when max power magazine where there.
i usually go cruising at least once a week, my usual cruising ground is a place called ayrshore,

the modding scene in the uk is excellent, theres everything from the odd euro look car, jap racers, corsas, bmws, out and out mental cars, ice cars, performance cars, everything! just a shame some of the parts are so expensive!!
have a look at those websites for info, and go to some of the links to find some more uk sites, plenty to look at
